AND CHURCH IS EVERYWHERE

It's your beloved Henry with one of his random thoughts. I was on my own, minding my mind's business then a thought came to me, "...and there is church everywhere." If you look around you, you will discover that we have churches springing up here and there even in places you least expect. Sometimes I wonder if names of churches have not been exhausted. It's a wow at the kind of names they answer too. For example: "Mountain of Jesus' Holiness, Power and Miracles Tabernacle Ministries" (a.k.a. Solution from Above Centre) Phew!!! I actually typed all that. (Disclaimer: If the name aforementioned is the name of your church, beloved, I guessed it, I didn't know).

 

With the spate of growth in the number of churches, one would expect that we would have a rather sane environment filled with Good people but the case is the reverse. Rather than being what the Church of Christ was designed to be, we have jamboree centres, grace-preachers who believe in grace but deny its true power, miracle and signs people who do miracles but the miracles do not lead people to repentance, some are motivational centres, oh, I love these ones, they can motivate you to sow your transport and trek to your house. There are the ones that just believe in some dead people who in their lifetime did one or two notable deeds and were made saints with a woman as the centre of their belief, very easy church, within an hour, you're done with service. As for living right, just visit the priest every Friday and you're as good as heaven. There are the prophetic ones who can tell the colour of your underwear and I wonder, so? how does that bring me solution and my all time favourite, the actors. These ones can use their hands to push the entire crowd down by simply waving it or kicking an imaginary ball. hahahahaha... One of them is in the Southern part of Nigeria. The man is good. And lastly, there are the fashionistas...Beloved, if you don't have a good wardrobe just revert to any of the white garment churches - they can save you the stress, the fashion guys no nothing else than being "classy for God".

 

All these people have their biblical backing for their belief systems, but any ministry or church whose vision is not to win souls, convert men to God, defend God's righteousness, expatiate the numerous and matchless power of God's Grace, be on the offensive to the kingdom of darkness and prepare people for heaven, I'm sorry, they are dead churches! I'm not in anyway condemning any church or ministry, but I am only trying to make common sense!

 

How can you have churches around and people are running brothels behind your fence, comfortably smoking weed?!

How can you run a church and people walk in and out with clothes and dresses that cannot differentiate between a harlot and a nigga or yoppy?

A church where people are motivated and truly they excel, but their eternal security is not certain, is it still a church?

How can you have a church and rituals are done in the name of obligation or whatever it is they do?

Someone comes to church and remains the way they came and even worse, and you are a church?
Fraudsters, criminals, politicians without the fear of God come and donate money and you accept without the word of God hammering on their deeds and you claim to be a CHRISTIAN CHURCH?

I could go on and on but maybe next time.

 

The CHURCH OF GOD, is the church without spot or wrinkle. An Army too vast that before them is a green field and behind them is a desert. A people strong and mighty, a threat to satan. Upholders of God's righteousness.

 

I conclude with this, IF YOU ARE IN A CHURCH AND YOUR LIFE IS NOT IN ANYWAY AFFECTING OTHERS POSITIVELY (PEOPLE DON'T SEE JESUS IN YOU), YOU ARE JUST A MEMBER OF A BUILDING AND NOT A PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST WHICH IS THE CHURCH!!!
