SPIDER-MAN
Nobody
likes spiders not to talk of the cobwebs that it produces. Having cobwebs in
your house shows that you are probably careless over your environment. In
general, cobwebs simply mean dirtiness. We could go to the spiritual side of it
too; anyone that often in places where it is not expected to see cobwebs around
suddenly feels cobwebs covering his/her face it is a sign of demonic projection
to cover such a one spiritually hence causing set-backs. But all these
are not
my concern about the spider. Let’s take a look at the scriptures,
“The spider ‘skillfully’ grasps with its hands, and
is in kings’ palaces.”
(Proverbs
30:28)
Note the word “skillfully” in that
passage. The spider is not wanted but with the skillfulness of its hands it
gets to be at the top of the ceiling of the kings’ palace, not one king but kings.
Take a cue from the spider’s characteristics; it is found everywhere
except the ocean and the Antarctica. It produces silk that we normally use for
clothes, (we don’t actually use theirs), out
of its own body. This is where skills are needed and the spider uses its skill
of weaving to design its own world. He doesn’t need your permission to enter
our house.
Like the spider God has put in us skills that
can help us to attain the greatest feats ever possible. We are the ones that
limit ourselves where as God has given us everything to our possession and use.
In this month, I want you to go through your head and ask questions, ‘what
skills do I have?’, ‘what can I do that people don’t really know how to do?’ or
‘what special effects can I do in my place of work or study to make me
exceptional?’. If you can seat back and answer these questions and put your
skills to work, I tell you, you shall find yourself in Kings’ houses (Pro.
22:29), and at the end as a child of God, be with the Lord in heaven. Remember,
“…without
faith it is impossible to please God!” So…
KEEP
THE FAITH!
