TAKING GOSPEL MUSIC TO THE NEXT LEVEL

I happened to be at Afy Douglas' Port-Harcourt Music Ministers Convention in honour of his 20th anniversary in ministry that held at Just Jesus Assembly in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria on the 30th of April 2016. In that convention, I learned so much that by the time I left there, I was not only hungry for more wisdom in the music ministry but was deeply hungry to GET MORE OF GOD!

The occasion was graced by top music ministers like, Preye,  M-Praiz, Frank Edwards manager, Ezekiel T, (Ezy T.) and my all time minister, Nathaniel Bassey who later came in after we were told he was gonna miss the event because of flight issues. A lot was said by these men and one of the high notes was, "No man does any man a favour, it's just privilege; God uses men, willing men".

Another one of my high note, in fact, Highest note, was the statement made by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey. He said, "The only way to be useful is to be used... In the realm of the spirit, Christ is the currency to receive with from God. Know God! If you don't know God and you are doing gospel music, you are fraudster, because you are giving us false interpretation of God! You can't talk about who you don't know." He also said, "Anything you are dead to comes to you", this statement came with respect to all those who were into gospel music because of money.

After all said and done, the 'Book of life' composer gave us courage to do gospel music the right way. He recently released a YouTube video of his new song God of Love featuring MAYRA ALVAREZ & MORAYO. God is using this great man to show other gospel musicians that if you serve God, every other thing is history. God will take you places.

I strongly thank God for Him and more so for Afy who created the platform to meet these men.
